120Hz 4K vs OLED?

I currently have a 43 inch Panasonic 4K UHD TV and am looking for something bigger. I mainly watch sport on the TV and the Panasonic has a 50Hz refresh rate - I have never really noticed an issue or lag.

Having set myself a limit of £1000 to spend, less if possible, on a 55" Tv I have narrowed it down to a Philips Ambilight OLED (55OLED705) or an LG 4k UHD with a 120 Hz refresh rate (55NANO866PA).

Having never owned either an OLED or 120 Hz TV before I am undecided and would really like some advice as to which would be the better buy please.

Thanks :)

I bought the 65 inch version fo the Philips you are looking at and am very happy with it. Suggest you take a look at whether your company offer the ability to buy cheap currys vouchers - ours offer 'partner perks' where you get 5% off Pcworld gift cards; it all adds up :) you shouldnt be comparing it to a mid range LG, should be looking at QLED or Sony full array units which cost considerably more.
