I changed from a Peugeot 208 diesel a few years back and my insurance dropped from €570 to €500.

Since then the Irish insurance industry has gone fully mental, plus I had a tiny bumper scrape in a car park that resulted in a BS personal injury claim so since then my insurance went from €500 to €960 and then €1400.

    Fudging joke.

There was an article in the daily mail stating that electric car insurance is massively prohibitive compared to ICE, which my wife sent me yesturday. I just thought I'd check with some owners, ta.

Mrs IG's went up by £60 a year from a 1.6 Megan Grande Scenic, so nothing major.

Did I see in another thread there was a link to a "trip mat"? Can't seem to find it. I think Iron Giant posted it?

We paid an extra £110, when we changed to an EV...(covering the proposer and a named driver) so was £254.94 in total.
