Just over a month ago i bought a sim card from rhinophones. it was 100 minutes anytime any network.

Sim cost was only 69.99 - i simply put this sim in my existing phone.

    http://www.rhinophones.co.uk/12-months-free-rental.htm

The reason why i waited till now to tell was to wait for my cashback, which i have got!!!!!!!!!! :)

This is the ideal deal if you are happy with your phone and simply need a new contract.

It is simple!!! (as it says on their webpage)
Basically you get charged your whole years rental on your first monthly bill. Yousend this to them and they will give you it all back as a cheque.

The reason they can do this is because they do not give you a handset, instead they sell off the handset that they were originally going to give you, and give you cash instead in the form of you line rental refund.

I ordered this over a month ago and have already received my cashback.

Company was very efficient in procesing cashback and respon to e-mails within a couple of hours

Just be wary.... Theres many a independent phone company out there doing cashback deals and claiming the VAT on the cashback. Which they shouldn't.

End result is a massive VAT bill and the company going out of business. For example FWD Cellular in Leicester did this.

When i got my bill from T-mobile i sent it to Rhinophones straight away, and within a couple of day i got my cashback.

They sent me the cheque before T-mobile had debited my account!!! they were very efficent.

Some of my brother's friends have been dealing with RhinoPhones.co.uk for a while and they similarly have experienced this quick service. No complaints from them.

This got me worried so i looked into this.

But after finding out Rhinophones.co.uk is not a VAT registered business, i stopped worrying!!!!!lol.

When i emailed the company about this, one of the managers wrote something along the line of: this is one of the reasons they are going to stay unregistered for VAT as long as possible to put the worry out of there customer's minds. (N.B if i had the email i would have pasted it onto the message board, but i deleted it at the time).

All companies with a turnover in excess of £60,000 per annum have to register for Vat so if they haven't registered it is either because they are a very small company indeed or they are trading illegally.

I have just checked rhinophones.co.uk with Whois to find that it was registered to Michael Dhawan as recently as January this year and that he is an individual who has elected not to publish his address in the Whois databse.

According to Nominet regulations only websites completely unconnected with trade or business may have the address of the owner withheld.

I would not recommend anyone to trade with this company.

Just to let you know if you go to following link:

    http://www.freedom2surf.net/webhosting/

and do a check on www.rhinophones.com, address details come on fine.
Must just be a problem with the .co.uk address.

But as i said earlier i have no complaints with the company.

Apart from the fact that it is a newly formed company that is either too small to register for Vat or unlawfully trading I have no complaints either but in view of the fact that there are hundreds of reputable companies in this field who have their registration addresses filed with Nominet and have been established a while and are large enough to register for Vat I would prefer to recommend forum members buy from one of them instead.
