    Hi,

I am currently changing my setup and moving it from a dedicated room to a not so much dedicated room, and this requires me having the subwoofer located alot further from amp.

In the old room i just used a 3m cable i was given by richer sounds when i purchased my speakers, but now with the new placements, and hiding of cables, the new lead will need to be close to 10m long. What should i be looking for

It will be connecting a yamaha rx675 to a monitor audio mass w200 if that makes any difference

    Thanks

While a lot of people have different views on how much should be spent on cables, the sub cable is important as you don't want the cable picking up any interference. With that in mind, don't go with the Fisual cable as it's not double shielded. I would advise to spend what you are happy with without scrimping.

FWIW, I bought this cable a couple of weeks ago and I'm very happy with it:

I recently got one of the Fisual 10m cables from Amazon and it's fine. Fits tightly and is thicker than the cable I got from Richer Sounds originally, so feels better. I'm not an audiophile though so not sure if that makes a difference, but my SW still sounds good.

I use the IXOS one, it's well made and it's also pretty thin and flexible. Works great.

Thanks for the replies so far, will probably have to ditch the ixos one as 9m is just not going to be enough.

Have seen another cable on here being recommended alot(van dammed studio) and made to measure by Mark someone, so will have a good look at that aswell.

Think £20 point is what I would be willing to pay.

I think you will struggle to get a semi decent 10m cable for £20, you might want to up that budget a wee bit ;)

There is a very good chance you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two cables when listening, so, as long as that cable doesn't pick up any interference you will be fine. My only concern would be it doesn't mention if it's double shielded or not, but that might not even matter in your system. As I said before, spend what you are comfortable with as everyone has differing views. Adam said he uses the Fisual cable (single shielded) without any problems after all.

Why don't you buy it and try it, you can always return it if there's a problem ;)
