AFAIK 1080p is only supported in WMV not in .TS files, even then 1080p is downconverted to whatever resolution you are using in Xbox 360

    I don't think the 360 outputs/supports 1080p, only 1080i

The only options on the 360 are 720p and 1080i

The 360 does not like some 1080P WMV files, it will play the batman 1080P Trailer Fine, will not play the Alexandra 1080P trailer and Stretches the TAxi 3 1080P Trailer

One thing is playing 1080p, a very diferent thing is outputting 1080p.

Xbox 360 plays WMV 1080p and does not play 1080p MPEG2 (.TS)

Xbox 360 does not output 1080p, instead it downconverts 1080p to whatever resolution is in like 720p or 1080i ou others.

I too have some 1080p WMV that don't play anymore, but they did in the early days of my Media Center PC, i still didn't find out what is the problem, they simply say "FINISHED" after i press Play.

    Are you sure about that?

I recall seeing that it only supports 1080i MPEG2 in www.xbox.com and now i cannot find that info, damn... i will keep looking.

Well, i don't know, i have lots full movies in .TS but none of them are in 1080p, damm, i will have to download some, they must be great even downconverted to 1366x768 :D

    Spadge,

Try do deinstall HDTVPump and install nero mpeg-2 decoders or ffdshow and tell it to decode Mpeg-2, works great, i don't have HDTVPump.

Just install ffdshow and go to the video codec configuration and change mpeg2 codec to libavcodec.

If the .ts doesnt play just rename them to .mpg

Another alternative is installing Nvideo Purevideo codec or install Nero that install the Nero Video Codec
