    Hi all,

I've got plasma screen (Pioneer PDPLX508D) that can handle 1080p @ true 24fps. My question, it may have been discussed before (apologies), but games like COD4, Ultimate Alliance and others that have 1080p output, is it best to play them on 1080p or @ 720p for gaming?

I've heard 720p is the better for gaming or does it vary on the "game" itself?

    Thanks in advance:smashin:

p.s. same question posted on plasma section

It has been discussed before many times. Getting back to your question the 24fps iss only relevant for blu-ray movies and has no baring on games which run at 50Hz/60Hz. Regards whether to use 1080p or 720p I would have to say that it depends on the native resolution of the game. If it's a 720p game then use 720p and if it's a 1080p native game then use that resolution. If you have all the resolutions ticked then the game should automatically choose it's native resolution.

As duplicate posts/threads are not allowed on these forums I'm going to close this one.
