Don't get hung up on this 1080p business. Most of the time upscaling in the screens is better than in the DVD players anyway.

If the IS10 is the right system for you, get it, and don't worry about the fact it's "only" 1080i.

Most all in one systems don't have HDMI inputs, the only one-box system I know of with inputs is the Pioneer LX-01.

The sound from the PS3/Sky HD can be sent to the IS-10 with digital cables, with the HDMI cables taking the video to the TV as normal. You'd need either an optical to coaxial adapter or optical splitter, however, since the IS-10 doesn't have two optical inputs. Same as the 850, and most things that you'll be looking at, to be honest.

However, it may be worth you going for something which is just the amplifier unit and speakers, since you can use the PS3 for DVD playback. There are some Sony systems that do this for very reasonable money, though I think there are some new ones on the way with more features for HDMI Audio. Someone may be able to fill in the gaps on that.

    First vision:
I would have a guess and say that your tv has only one HDMI input. If so you could use this to link your ps3 and sky hd and hts to your tv HDMI input.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/HDMI-Tri-Link-Switcher-PS3/dp/B000NJZRSI/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_1

I am using this one at present.

    Now for audio:
To link your ps3 and sky HD and possibly your tv to your HTS you could use this if any or all have Digital Audio Outputs.

    http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_in.../1013?osCsid=78b3d3517d692b6cf6243928c10bd975

I am also using this at present with my system.

I hope this has helped you.

    Will

Just get yourself a Sony HTD-870RSF £499.00 or HTD-870RSS £429.00(satellite speaker version) and 'wollop' all your needs covered, amazing connectivity and a 160gb HDD recorder to boot. Laughing.
I've one of these systems and they're an absolute aural delight.

The HTD-870RSF has a USB 2.0 port on the HDRX870 recorder. :suicide:

Fox, it's only Norris's post above that is out of context! Otherwise the post starter was looking for an all in one that upscaled to 1080p.

Any chance it can be moved back?? :smashin:
