Hi,

I am looking to buy a new camcorder as my previous Sony HDR-HC1E has all but kicked the bucket. I'm mainly filming skateboarding, and would prefer to get my camera to fit my lens as they don't make the lens anymore.

The lens is a Century Optics 0.3x 37mm, but I'm struggling to find camcorders on the market to fit that. I'm fine with some step-up/down rings, but everything I've seen has been 58mm filter threads.

Any recommendations?

I have used fisheye lenses in the past but not on a camcorder so I see your problem. However what is the problem in using a 58 to 37mm step down ?
There are getting fewer "decent" camcorders made now and the only ones worth looking at are the top end makers like Sony/Panasonic/Canon etc, forget the Chinese cheapy's.
The Panasonic range on the older 900 series had a 46mm filter thread and the newer 990 series is 49mm.
You can readily get a 49 to 37mm step down for peanuts.
I have 3 SD900 Panasonic camcorders and 1 990 4k and can vouch for any of them for their quality and end results.
