1080p 32" for under £500

For your uses, there's not a lot of point getting 1080p in a 32" ...I'd get the Sony 32V4000 for around £370 from Richer Sounds :) Otherwise, look at the excellent LG 32" plasma, will beat LCD for DVDs and TV (and pretty good for xbox too I believe)

Thanks i'm a tv novice trying to get the best i can. Is it not worth getting a 1080p then. My friend was the one who said to get a 1080p. How much better is the picture and does 1080p not show up on a 32" very much.

I would not recommend a PG6000 LG Plasma to anyone. It suffers from terrible Image Retention.

It is best if they withdraw from plasma sector, but somehow I don't think that will happen since they supply the panels to Vizo.
