1080p/24hz Juddering

On my sat box i can chose
1080p/24hz
1080i 50-60hz
720p 50-60hz

i want to chose 1080p but it judders loads.

my tv is Pioneer 507XD

what is going on ?? And which, in theory SHOULD be the best option ?

if it's from Sky i think its only a 1080i feed so to get P it has to do some extra processing

What part of the world are you in? 1080i is fine to choose for TV content. Whether 50/60 will depend on where you are.

Perhaps your 507 pioneer doesnt accept 1080/24p correctly? Try the other options, and see what's best for you.

Definitely 1080/50i. I'm surprised the box gives you the option of 24P, as that makes no sense, UK broadcasts aren't in 24P. The box would simply drop one incoming frame every second to fullfill that output requirement, hence huge judder.
