Firstly, what tv do you have?
Has it been properly set up and brightness, contrast and colour adjusted?
what games consolls are you using?
    How are thay connected?
Give us a few more details, IN your opinon what is it about the picture that makes it look "poo"?

Not sure, that's a bit odd. I know 100 htz TV's show up poor signal quality more than 50 htz ones (i.e. some low bitrate digital TV signals) but that shouldn't be a problem through a console RGB lead.

I have a Gamecube connected to my 100 htz Sony 32" TV at the moment and the picture is superb. I also have a few other consoles (PS2, DC, Saturn & Megadrive) attached to my 50 htz Sony 29" TV and get a great picture through that as well.

The only things I can think of are to double check that your lead is RGB and that it is connected to RGB Scart on your TV (not A/V Scart).
