I have 100 pounds maybe slightly more but not much more. I wan to get free view and a recorder.

-Hard Drive or DVD recorder ( price of discs not a problem so exclude from 100 quid)
-Should i look for built in freeview?
-How do seperate freeview box and recorder communicate? is it easy to set recordings a few days ahead?

I'm a bit of noob with AV kit so any help appreciated.

I have 2 spare scarts, 1 composite and one free HDMI on my TV if this helps.

I know its obvious but try ebay periodically, traders are often selling 'last years' models. I picked up a brand new un-opened 160gb twin tuner PVR with one year warranty for around 90quid delivered. I've had it running 6 months now and haven't had a single problem with it. I'm not sure how i lived without one. I've had a quick search for you and there's not much going at the moment.

    Buy cheap: Buy twice.

Save up and spend more. ' Worth it in the long run.
