100 Hz

Hallo,
I have not much possibilities to go and see sets, for I live very remote. Unfortunately, I need to order a tv set unseen. I wonder how important is 100 Hz. I read many conflictive opinions about how it has impact on PS3 and other sources but not on SD television and interlaced video input.


Would it reallly make a significant difference on satellite television and on HD content from camcorder?

i saw a 100hz 32" phillips in comet yesterday and it was next to a samsung 37" without 100hz. The picture on the phillips seemed alot sharper and it was on freeview so i think it may make a diffrence.
