.... on its way in December ..
Seems a bit OTT for one decent film, if you ask me.
Not stupidly priced though!
So 3 films & 7 coasters (or 9 for Simon6776) - I've got to say as with the LotR's and others, the only extras I ever seem to watch is the alternate endings, music videos and outtakes. I have never been able to watch any of the commentaries and never want to see how it was done that would really spoil the film for me. But I would agree that if this is your thing then, for a change, it seems like an excellent price.
I have to agree with Paul. I hardly ever watch any of the extras, apart from what he's mentioned. The only benefit I can see in buying this set, would be that it would look nice on the shelf. Another hour of Reloaded?? A remedy for insomniacs, me thinks!
The extra footage for reloaded is from the game, so its reasonably action orietented, and would benefit the film if it was included instead of some of the more boring scenes, but it looks like they are going to lazyly tack it on rather than do a proper re-edit like the latest cut of Alien.
What I hope for most about this "special" edition is that they also make it available without the duplicated disks (e.g., animatrix, the second film, matrix revisted), like they did with Matrix revisted (even though it was marketing fluff for the second and third films).
I love the first Matrix.
I can tolerate Reloaded.
I would rather watch The Phantom Menace than Revolutions again ( and I did really try to like it)
If i have to see jake lloyd one more time i'll implode!
I thought they would have included the 'Animatrix' on that boxset?
It's a shame, as I was hoping that they would commission another load of them. IMO the 'Animatrix' excels both the 'Matrix' sequels by miles.
Disc Seven: The Animatrix
