1:1 pixel match

how do i find out my DLP`s true maximum 1:1 pixel match resolution?
the set in question is an LG RE44SZ21R DLP

ive been told previously its possibly 1024 x 576, but when i play around with ATI software on my pc and ouput it to the tv i can resize to approx 1184x676

1024x576 is the native resolution of the digital micromirror device - that's now many mirrors there are, and that sets the limit on the resolution that can be realised. That's the highest standard definition resolution you can get, and is rather greater than any CRT TV.

You can feed it with any resolution input signal you like (that it can accept), but the set will simply down-scale it it the native resolution.
