Extra data for early sign-up With the launch of 02's 4G service scheduled for the 29th of the month, it was high time that they revealed how much it was going to cost to access the whizz bang network speeds., And so they have. With the network going directly head to head with Vodafone's 4G launch, on the same day, it was inevitable there would be a few sweeteners to entice the early adopting crowd and they come in the form of an "introductory extra data offer" where customers signing up get an increased data allowance until Oct. 31. At 'rock bottom' pricing is 02's 'Refresh' plan allowing for 1GB of data, monthly, or you can step up to up to 3GB for £27 (5GB until Oct. 31) or for the data hungry, there's the 5GB plan (8GB until Oct. 31) at £32. For those that already have a 4G phone and want a SIM only deal, there are 12-month "Simplicity" plans on offer, with 1GB for £26, 3GB for £31 and 5GB for £36, with the latter two offering the extra allowance as per the 'Refresh' plans. The service will initially be available in London, Leeds and Bradford, with other areas to follow.
