Hey,

I'm on my laptop pretty much nonstop when I'm not at work (ah, what a life) so I'd like something super fast to make it more enjoyable. Will generally be pottering around in Windows with lots of stuff open, but nothing too intensive. I don't really need the spec I'm asking for but I'd like to future proof somewhat.

- i5, ideally i7 (budget could go up slightly i guess). 2.5GHZ+ ?

- Is Windows 8 as bad as I'm hearing? I'd prefer 7.

- 8GB RAM / 1TB (wouldn't like to budge on these ideally). Primary SSD would be sweet but I'm trying to be realistic here.

- 15" screen, have considered 1920 but 1366 is fine

- Not fussed about games. Having non-integrated graphics would be nice so I can play some older stuff, but it's not that important.

- Can't remember the last time I put a CD/DVD in so that doesn't seem important

Should I be looking at pcspecialist and just tailoring to what I want, or delve into the dell outlet?

Cheers.
