Hey guys and gals, i am on the look for a decent size LCD for my bed room, at the moment i have a 28inch standard Sony Trinitron so i would like somthing along the same size.

I will have about £600-£800 to spend and i was just wondering what you guys could recomend to me, or even just recomend me a place to get looking :)

I would like to use it for both as my TV and my PC Monitor (Media Center PC as well)

HD would be nice to have for future proof etc.

Anyone know anything that would meet what i need out there :)

Yea i can wait, but i was thinking there would not be many of the HD Ready sets on sale ?

I am just looking at the moment and would like to build up a small pile of contenders :)
So is that worth its wait in gold ?

    EDIT:

Oh and guys, would i notice much difference between a 26inch LCD and my TV at the moment ?

Go for the 26" Samsung then MDX.

If you measure your 28" Sony Trinitron diagonally across the screen, you will notice its closer to 26.5" than 28" so the 26" set won't really look any smaller if the 28" Sony looks fine to you.

MDX, do you have a Makro or Costco membership? Or do any firends/family? THey have a great range of HD Ready LCD's 32" and below at great prices. Worth a look.

Its worth a look, different stores have different things. All the sets come with 3 Years Warranty is something to go for, make sure they cover dead pixels etc.
I am sure that during Boxing Day, prices will go down. Upto you, have a look in Costco.

I'm not sure, you could try :)

    Okay doing some work.
I have found some sets that might intrest you.

Sony KDLS26A12U - HD Ready 26" PC Input HDMI Input
    [IMG]
    £777.67 From Gultronics http://www.gultronics.co.uk/og/index.asp?m=&par=televisions&chi=lcd tvs&o=&p=3

    For £70 more It's a very good TV :)
If not try Samsung 26", very decent model, fits with your budget very well.

As I said wait for XMas sales, something tells me small sized LCD's will get a price drop.
