    Hi all,

I have a friend who wants a 2 ch. amp and 2 speakers for a budget of £500. Its for music use only and the speakers he has at the mo are floorstanders but he wants bookshelf size.

He listens to Dance music, but the bass will be done by an RTP subwoofer so the amp needs a sub out as well.

    Any ideas please?

I like my Rotel RA-01 amp and Mission M51 speakers for dance music, and I should think that this was do-able for £500...

I'm thinking nice pair of B&W 601 S3's, with an Arcam A75+ (or it's replacement). No worries on the sub feed side as we can do that from pre-outs or at speaker level.

The Sound Gallery are Quoting £380 for the Arcam, which is a bit OTT if you ask me.

They are suggesting the Dennon PMA355 that they will 'do' for £199
