I've narrowed down my choice of Camcorders to the following.
JVC GRDVL767EK because of it's MegaPixel, the Sony DCRTRV18 because of it's reliability and build, the Panasonic NVGS4B because of recomendations, or the JVC GRDVX507EK also by reputation. I can't find any direct comparison of these products but would appreciate any feedback.

I'm actually a proffesional cameraman but this is my first foray into domestic camcorders. I want DV because I can edit at home or work. My main criteria is picture quality and manual controls.

I'm going for the sony 16 which is the same as the 18 without memory stick. I've looked around and think it has the best video and audio. Do you know the 18 has no dv-in? it might be important if you want to start editing.

I'm not too concerned about DV in. I won't be using the camera to edit.
