Ok, so I've set my budget at £300(maybe £350) for a complete 5.1 system inc. cables and I'd like your recommendations/opinions, please:blush:

    My Receiver is Yamaha HTR-5540RDS

Oh, and they must be either silver or lightwood(pine, beech etc,.)

I'm prepared to mix/match the speakers and sub but, I'd rather not mix the 5 speakers.

Look forward to your imput:rolleyes: :D

The Tannoys appear to be a cherry finish, which I'm not keen, thanks for the imput, though:)

Incidently, is it worth getting fronts that can carry a very low freq when I'll be getting a sub to do that. I mean would I be buying a feature that I wouldn't use, so to speak? Or could I send low freq to both the fronts and sub, or would that get messy?

Not on your budget of £350 if that is to include a subwoofer as even if the main speakers could reproduce low notes, they wouldn't reproduce them well at that price.

    I'm using the following:

    Pioneer SH510V (5 speaker set) - £250
    Pioneer SW110 (sub) = £110

    On the Pioneer 2011 AMP.

Now you are probably thinking what a strange setup but I couldn't afford higher quality speakers after splashing out on the AMP.

I think these speakers are very good for the price and better than most of the competition.

I to have also been considering the Pioneer S-V310. Does anyone have opinions on these? are they worth buying?

    Thanks
