Yes another one of these threads, forgive me guys I am in the market for a new pair of bookshelf speakers. I have recently sold my B&W 601 S1's which sounded great for years paired with a budget Mission MS6 Subwoofer (which was used sparingly, as a bass aid). I mainly sold them due to being a little big for my current needs and also because I wanted to try something newer and hopefully....better. My budget is £230 tops. I have been looking at, reading up on and basically drawn to either Q Acoustics 2020i, Dali Zensor 1's or Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's. I am open to other suggestions and my colour choice is white....but black is still a consideration. I am leaning towards the 2020i's but would like to know if I can actually expect them to be £100 better than the 9.1's? I mean for £100 that seems like a cracking deal IF and I mean IF they are all that people make them out to be. I will be Bi-Wiring (kind of puts me off the Zensor 1s's which lack it) with pretty decent cable and plugs. I am running a SONY STR-DN1030 for amplification, I have stands and I listen to all kinds of music. They will also run Blu-Ray and an XBOX 360. I will still use my sub if I find bass is lacking on any purchase. Which (if any) will achieve a similar sound to my old 601's and will any surpass them? Any input, experience or recommendations welcome. Thanks guys.
