    Well maybe if, for example, R2 DVD's were of the same quality (extras, soundtracks etc.) as R1 US then maybe we might be more inclined to buy 'locally'? Or maybe if they were available locally at the same time, or available AT ALL? It's not just about the money side of things (although the fact that better products are usually available cheaper form outside the EU doesn't have anything do do with it either :))

    perhaps the reason why non-eu traders can do better prices should be addressed! It is funny how the consumer is never the key factor in discussions like this, yet without them, the discussion is pointless.
