I'll second that. Dno't spend £1500 on the high street on a plasma ... better value for money ordering online. You could get a panasonic PW6 (with all the bits and pieces you'd need) for about £1,700 ... which will outshine any goodmans/techwood you can buy :)

I'm in the same boat as sh4d0w and I'm very much tempted by the PW6 but could somone tell me the extras I'll need.
Just need to hook up Sky+ and Sony DAVs550

You never said if you had an existing amp / speaker set that you use. If you don't, you'll need to add one to use the PW6, which will push the price up. Your only realistic option with built-in speakers at £1500 is the LG 42PX11.

If you still want to go along the Panasonic route, and need to get speakers, I would definitely go for a speaker system plus the PW6, rather than the Viera - more flexibility and better performance at less cost.

Thanks guys ill certainly be organising a demo of this screen. The 1500 is for the plasma only, amp and speakers are to be purchased separately.
