Hi, i have been reading your forums for the last few days looking for the right plasma screen to buy, and could do with a bit of advice....

As above , 42" Plasma, it will be used for digital cable tv through a nokia dbox (scart), Playstation 2 (composite?) and my PC as well sometimes...

HDTV is not a big issue...

I would say £1500 max on ALL GEAR

    I currently have:

    5.1 capable dvd player
    Cheap 5.1 system
(no more inputs availible on it, Although sound is not a big issue atm, i can sort that later, i just need a big screeeeen!!)

    What do you recommend? :lease:

Hitachi 42PMA225E - this is a good plasma at a great vale at the moment.
You also get a free wall mount with it in the box.
2yrs Onsite warranty - This is the most important specialy if things go wrong.

I would also suggest using a switch box as it makes connecting things easier. i.e: 5 inputs to 1 out put. The out goes into the plasma so only a single lead to the plasma screen and the switch box sits with all the rest of the equipment stacked with it. like DVD player, Sky Box, PS2, VCR etc... also it roughly costs about £100 but well worth it.

Quick search results on froogle for the plasma -

Both myself & my brother bought our 42 PWD7's from AV sales & I can't recommend them highly enough

Their wall mount is superb & a really easy fit :)
They will normally discount the boards and (or) converters that you may need if you buy it all at the same time.

If you haven't done already, PM Alastair with a list of all the bits you need & he'll work you out a price :smashin:
