    Hi

My friend has £1200 to spend on a PJ. Since buying mine TW100 there seems to be many at the is price range all with 16:9 pannels.

We had a dem of the Hitachi TX10 which I must say for £1100 seems great value and I loved the idea of the leanse shift. Wish I had that on mine :(

    Other choices are:

    TW200
    AE200
    Z2
    HS2 or 3 (Cant remember)

So any advice for him then?

If it has to be LCD then I would go for the Z2 from that list, although nearer the £1.5k mark including VAT.

However, if he can watch a DLP image maybe the Infocus 4800 will be worth a demo. £1200.00 including VAT.

Well, if your gonna spend up to 1500 on a Z2, why not give it till early Jan when the Panasonic AE500 comes out over here. Id either go for a Z2 or AE500.

If your friend has £1200 to spend he can also afford the panasonic ae300 or even the ae500 if you don't mind ordering from Germany ;).

But as Captain Benifit says for a little more he can have the z2. Also I remember seeing that a forum member had a spare one he was going to sell soon in the classified's for nearer the £1200 mark if you want to keep an eye out :)

I can't see him going an extra £300 so the Z2 is out.

    How about the Z1?

Z1 is dirt cheap at Nexnix.

    www.nexnix.co.uk

£795.00 ex vat - a bargain to be honest.

are totally sound as a fair few members here will testify.

I suspect that they offer a service very similar to nexnix in that their customer care is superb.

PS, I can also vouch for the PQ on the Z1.
