£1000 pj recommends

    Looking to get into a pj before xmas after waiting too long budget is £1000 and i am in the market for 2 as brother wants one now. Only model that we have been able to view is the sanyo Z1.
    Screen will be approx 10' from sitting position.
    Need to order soon so any help please.

    The Infocus X1 or Sanyo Z1/2 fit your price range, but I don't know the details. Where are you situated? www.projectorsareus.co.uk in Horsham normaly have a good range for demo, so it might be worth giving Jeff a ring and see what he's got.

    Idealy you should demo a DLP projector as well to compare the two technologies, and to see if you're perceptible to the rainbow effect.

    Thanks am just outside glasgow was happy with the pic if the Z1 but didnt know how different this was to the ptae200, 300 and the Z2. Was originaly looking at the ptae200 and set my budget at £750 but i didnt know if the others are worth the extra cost involved

    The Hitachi PJ-10 can be had for less than a grand.
