Could someone advise me on the best way to spend my hard earned. I watch 60% Sky, 20% DVD and the rest Blu Ray and gaming. I do watch quite a bit of footie and a whole heap of movies. Looking fo a screen size around the 50" mark. After spending all day reading the reviews on here i am completely at a loss.....i have a Denon 2310 amp, a good surround sound system (RS package) and so am not worried about speaker quality as they will be switched off...
 
You can get the 50G10 (much better set than the S10, check the posts on here & you will quickly see just how good the set is :)) for around £950, have a butchers here:

Additionally if you want the cream of the crop with plasma, you would need to get a 42" but the 42V10 (th eone with THX mode :)) can be had for about £920 using the same code as above, here:

Also check out the LG 50PS8000, top of the rangr LG model with THX picture mode, £950 at Currys/Dixons
