Looking for some av speakers, budget around a grand, to include a subwoofer and must be pleasing on the eye so no huge floorstanders.
I
To go with probably a pioneer ax3 reciever although I haven't bought it yet so can change my mind on that.

After browsing I've seen some kef eggs 5005 and canton 2.22
Has anyone any views on these?

There are loads of people who have expressed their views on these two speaker sets as the same question is asked on a daily basis.

Why have a look at something newer to the market, more traditionally styled and probably more musical than either of the above - Castle Compacts, which will give you five lovely little wooden speakers and a subwoofer for about the grand mark

Try and demo the Monitor Audio Radius package. I have 3 x 180's 2 x 90's and the 360 sub connected to my pio AX5i and I'm really pleased with the sound.

I agree totally, i have some huge floorstanders and velodyne sub but the sats are for my bro, he wants them to be visually pleasing so to speak.
I have decided to get him the canton 2.2's by the way.
