£10 sub dropped?

I've just had a row with the woman on the phone at Sky because they activated my HD channels without permission (HD TV doesn't arrive till tomorrow so there would have been no point paying the extra £10).

Anyway, the upshot of it all was that the HD channels are now included in the Sky World package. Or so she says.

Says on the website too:

http://sky.com/hd/what-does-it-cost-existing.htm

Underneath the box...

Sky World subscribers will receive all of the Sky HD channels

So it looks like they have dropped the £10. Did I miss something? When I first called Sky about getting HD they said it would cost me an extra £10...

No, it means that although you pay £10 per month for the HD functionality, you won't get all the HD channels unless you subscribe to their SD equivalent. IE if you don't already subscribe to say Movies, you won't get HD Movies despite the HD Sub.

Badly worded isn't it.

That would be badly worded indeed. Mind you the girl did promise me that my bill will be £43.50 from now on. And that includes the HD channels.

Hmmm the only way I'll know for sure is when the bill comes.
