Picture
This R1 edition is a dual sided disc, offering the Full Screen version on side one and a 2.35:1 Anamorphic version on the other. We looked at the widescreen version for this review, why would anyone even think about watching the full screen version?
Right from the start it was clear that this transfer is outstanding in its presentation. There are no signs of dirt or scatches in the print, and no signs of artefacts or edge enhancement. Instead the image looks very clean with good colour reproduction and strong, solid blacks with plenty shadow detail. The stunning cinematography just looks sublime with bags of detail jumping out the image at you. This is a first class transfer and deserves top marks.

Sound
An Aggressive movie this sound track just rocks right from the start. The surrounds are used constantly with bullets, screeching tyres and all sorts of other effects whizzing about the soundstage that you cant help sitting with a huge grin on your face. The bottom end is also well used with some serious explosive moments shaking the entire room, again this is demo quality sound mixing and highly recommended
Extras
The disc starts with a full length commentary track, which although interesting, becomes very boring very quickly with large gaps between the interesting stuff you want to know about. Also included are unrated scenes which come with an optional commentary and last approximately 15 minutes. Rounding off the disc is a short making of documentary and Trailers.
This movie is just one huge home cinema demo sequence with some very wooden acting. But don't let that put you off, its good popcorn fun on a stunning disc, recommended
