Picture

A below average film receives an average transfer presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen. The movie has a shot for TV feel to its cinematography and even the picturesque landscapes of Martha's Vineyard look flat and uninspiring, unlike Spielberg's use of the island in Jaws. The vineyard looks washed out and murky but things improve once the characters move to sunny California with it's bright colour palette. The image for the most part appears sharp and well defined and there are few instances of edge enhancement or digital artefacts. Colours appear natural and well saturated for the most part with skin tones looking natural. Overall a very average transfer.

Sound

As comedy soundtracks go this Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is - well you guessed it, average. Dialogue is intelligible and warm, music sounds dynamic and there is a certain ambient feel to the soundstage, but nothing special.

Extras

That word average rears its ugly head again when it comes to the extra features on this disc. The commentary track from the brothers is mildly entertaining and informative but not a track you would deliberately sit down and listen on its own merits. Next is a 15 minute feature on how great the Farrelly's are with interviews from all the major stars who have worked with them in the past. Next up is a making of featurette with some decent behind the scenes material, a make up featurette, blooper reel, Deleted scenes and an assortment of trailers for other Fox titles.
Stuck On You
An average presentation of a below average comedy that I cannot sadly recommend as a keeper, fans of the director's may want to try a rental first, disappointing.
