Simpsons, The: On Your Marks, Get Set, D'Oh! DVD Review
SRP: £12.99

Picture

As with many of these compilations picture quality is judged mainly by the original animation quality, which in this case is good since all but the last episode are from more recent seasons. The DVD transfer itself is very good with a little picture noise although slightly over bright colour.

Sound

These newer episodes make better use of the Dolby Digital 2-channel soundtrack but panning effects are still detached from the relevant on-screen effect and very little use is made of environmental effects to the rear channels

Extras

Another pair of trailers and a single featurette. This 2-minute Sporting featurette “Good Sports make Sports Good” is ironically narrated and certainly funnier than the usual 2-minute clip-show these compilations offer.

A great selection of sporting Simpsons moments with plenty of visual humour to back up the non-stop gags!
