Simpsons, The: Gone Wild DVD Review
SRP: £15.99

Picture

Picture quality varies between the season episodes and looks good for the majority of the time. Newer episodes are clean and free from dirt or scratches and the image looks relatively sharp. The first episode doesn't look as good and suffers from a softness and dirt to the image. Colours are bright with very little bloom or bleed and lines appear sharp with traces of edge enhancement and haloing. Overall an average transfer.

Sound

Presented in Dolby 2.0 stereo the soundmix is flat and fails to engage the listener as you would hope. Action is fixed squarely on the screen even in Prologic II with dialogue being intelligible and warm. Music is dynamic with some decent panning effects across the front channels.
Simpsons, The: Gone Wild

Extras

A short feature with clips from Crusty's best moments and a trailer for the Fox Simpson's collections are all we get.
Simpsons, The: Gone Wild
A good collection of Simpsons episodes with acceptable presentation.
