Picture
Picture offers up no reason to complain. The CGI is very well implemented within the image which is a bright, clean presentation overall. No errors or edge enhancement to complain about.
Sound
Nothing much to go home and tell your mother about here. 95% of the action comes from the front channels, the odd badly mixed effect gets thrown to the rears (but never when the on-screen action would've suggested an interesting front-back pan) and the LFE is barely woken up at all. No quality issues, just a very boring soundtrack.
Extras
In the audio menu lies a half interesting Director and Producer commentary which covers most of the logic behind CGI effects but little else. Given the flatness of the film I guess there isn't anything other than the very good animation to talk about! There is also the “Inside Look” featurette giving a sneak peak at some of Fox's upcoming animated efforts. First glance would say there is lots of potential on the way, but there again one would have thought Garfield holds plenty of potential to make a great movie...
I really wouldn't bother.
