Fela Kuti: Music Is The Weapon DVD Review
SRP: £15.99

Picture

Presented fullscreen the image shows its age throughout. There are copious amounts of grain and dirt present in the print with colours faded and underwhelming. There is detail present in the image and there are no signs of edge enhancement or pixilation problems, however the image is far from acceptable for a DVD release and at best it looks no better than VHS in terms of quality.

Sound

The soundtrack is present in PCM stereo and like the picture it shows it age sounding muffled and underwhelming as far as dynamics go. In fact as much as I wanted to enjoy the feature and sound presentation I sadly have to report that this presentation is very poor indeed.

Extras

None present.
Fela Kuti: Music Is The Weapon
An interesting documentary about an interesting African musician, but a very poor DVD presentation, for fans only.
