Picture
Quite poor. There are lens trails, and a severe softening of the picture. Daylight Again looks like a TV display with way too much processing: lots of dot crawl, mild digital artefacting and some evidence of blooming, especially reds. Though the picture is poor, you really buy a music DVD for the sound...
Sound
The sound on this disc is very good, especially considering the age of the concert. Acoustic guitars emit finely detailed top deck resonances and fret noise with eerie accuracy. Bass guitar has weight and drums impact supplied via a very smooth sub channel. Those tracks that do employ the full on stage ensemble have a suitably wide and full soundstage, the centre offering vocal clarity and the rears providing good atmosphere and crowd noise. This is another well thought through mix.
Extras
Again, none.
As I said earlier, I wasn't looking forward to this, but I really enjoyed it. The music is well done, very well played and some topics are just at meaningful today as they were back then. If you can get past the obvious 80's iconography, Nash's jacket is especially period, and that CSN aren't exactly chart toppers anymore, then there is much to enjoy.
