Bryan Adams: Live At The Budokan DVD Review
SRP: £19.99

Picture

Originally filmed for Japanese Television the image is surprisingly presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic ratio. The picture does tend to suffer a little from looking soft, but there is a good amount of detail on show and the muted colour palette looks natural. Overall this is a very good image with no signs of edge enhancement or pixilation problems.

Sound

Presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby 2.0, the soundmix is very dynamic with good bass extension and surround panning. The front three channels offer an excellent soundfield which is wide and very detailed with the surrounds carrying ambience and crowd effects in good measure.

Extras

The only extras on offer are four addition tracks not included in the original concert footage, these are “Fits you Good”, “I Don't Want To Live Forever”, “Before The Night Is Over” and “Still Beautiful to Me” all presented in Dolby 5.1

A Must for Fans and also those with a passing interest in Adams, the disc has good audio, visual merits, although light on extras.
