Blade Runner Movie Review

Hop to

Ridley Scott's cinematic visualisation of Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? is a feast for the eyes and the intellect. Taking a view of the future which draws upon Fritz Lang's Metropolis and has since spawned a thousand imitators, Scott's movie is still unparalleled in terms of design. Ejecting the happy ending and over-done narration of the original theatrical release, the Director's Cut is a far more effective movie. If you are able to get past the overt misogyny displayed in the film, you'll find one of the most intelligent and important films in the history of the science-fiction genre.
