Billy Idol Movie Review

Hop to

If you always though of Billy Idol, as we did, as a watered-down cabaret-friendly proto-punk, you'll be confused to see him being taken so seriously here, in the VH-1 Storytellers series. He introduces his songs to a small audience that whoops uncontrollably every time he mentions The Clash, reminiscing like an old soldier, and performs, with a basic backing band, all the hits, including Flesh for Fantasy, White Wedding, Rebel Yell, Dancing With Myself, Mony Mony, LA Woman and more. Picture is a rather soft 4:3 but sound is a choice of Dolby Digital 2.0 or 5.1, or a rather good DTS 5.1. Extras are a discography and the option to skip the inter-song chat.
