There is little dirt or noise to this clean recording, although a little too much edge enhancement here and there can annoy. However the concert lighting really doesn't help the picture nor does the quality of cameras used. While black level is good, contrast is low as is detail and sharpness. Whites are overly lit by the stage lights and colours are overly reflective too.

Sound for the concert has the option of Dolby Digital 5.1 or PCM Stereo. 5.1 to me has always sounded a little detached on DVDs of this nature and this is no exception, it's fun to have the odd bit of crowd noise thrown behind you but not if it detracts from the overall music experience. The PCM soundtrack is very impressive, crystal clear and with some good imagery. The quality of recording is very impressive, especially for a live concert.
The Who: Live In Boston Sound

The two interviews from Daltrey and Townshend are a good watch covering the death of John Entwistle, touching on the subject of Keith Moon and discussing the bands desire to keep going forward constantly redefining Rock n roll as they go! Not much else though.

A great concert somewhat let down by the picture quality, but not enough to stop me recommending it to all Rock n Roll fans!
