The Gingerdead Man DVD Review
PictureThe Non-Anamorphic 1.85:1 image is average at best - very soft, warm and fuzzy. Blacks are poor and skin tones are not well defined at all. Very poor!
SoundAgain also very poor - with only Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo available. Perfunctory at best, with even the Gingerdead Man himself being difficult to understand at times.
ExtrasFirst up is the 19 minutes "Behind the Scenes" which is infinitely more enjoyable than the movie, with a look at how they made the Gingerdead dude plus some comments from the director Charles Band himself. This is followed by 4 trailers for "Sawed", "MPD-Psycho", "Whatever happened to Alice" and "Blood Relic"
VerdictI like tongue-in-cheek monster movies but this is not one of them - director Band can and has done much better in the horror genre so check out those movies instead. Avoid!
