    Picture

Filmed live the image suffers from blooming colours and pixilation problems with the darkness of the venue and stage set up, at times it looks as though the blacks are crushed. The image is also rather soft with very little fine detail during the live performance sections, the extras and documentary improve somewhat in comparison. I guess that these problems can be expected with such difficult source material and although watchable I found the image to be very poor compared to other music titles I have reviewed recently.

    Sound

Presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby 2.0 stereo, the sound quality is very good considering the source material. I can't say I am a fan of Death Metal music but the sound mix here is well done with tight bass and clear high frequencies but I dare anyone to know what the lyrics to the songs are without reading them. It doesn't help that there is no melody present in the music, but the surrounds are well used for audience cheers and screams and there are interesting panning effects used.

    Extras

Presented as extras are a 50 minute Documentary, Photo Gallery and the Bloodline video which was banned by every music TV station on the planet. The documentary centres on the band and their strange fan base and I found it very interesting indeed. The photo gallery is well presented and the inclusion of the bloodline video will please fans.

    Verdict

A Must for fans of the band and musical genre with good extras and sound, but the picture suffers from poor source material.
