Shakira: Live And Off The Record DVD Review
    SRP: £19.98

The concert presentation is in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and looks very colourful and sharp. Video picture is constantly high quality which would lead me to believe this was filmed on high definition cameras. Sharpness is good with colours looking rich and well balanced and no signs of blooming or bleed even with strong stage lighting. The documentary is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic and again looks very good with plenty of detail available. Overall for a music video this has excellent picture quality and allows you to admire the star in detail.

The concert footage is presented in PCM stereo as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 and on this occasion I found the Dolby track to be the most pleasing. Crowd cheering fills the rear of the soundstage and the concert music is very dynamic with an excellent bottom end and wide soundstage providing that “Live” feel in your listening room. Very good.

The beautiful star that is Shakira entertains all with her belly dancing and incredible vocal performance. The DVD will be a huge hit with fans and has excellent AV presentation.
