Reality Bites: 10th Anniversary Edition DVD Review
    SRP: £19.98

Presented in anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen the newly remastered print looks very good. Colour reproduction is accurate with flesh tones looking natural. There are no obvious signs of edge enhancement present and compression artefacts are nowhere to be found. There is a small amount of grain present in the darker scenes but overall the image is as good as can be expected.

The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundmix is laid back and centres squarely on the front channels. There is a certain lack of dynamics within the mix and music sounds good with panning effects and a wide sound field. Nothing spectacular but the soundtrack does its job.

The extras are pretty standard affairs with an interesting Directors commentary which provides some details on the often troubled production (although you would never know watching the movie), a retrospective featurette has interviews with the cast discussing the film and praising each other, there are a few deleted scenes which are introduced by Ben Stiller and rounding up are trailers and music videos.
Reality Bites: 10th Anniversary Edition Extras

One for the fans and maybe someone with a passing interest in a place and time now long gone, Reality Bites still works on nearly every level and the DVD looks and sounds as good as you will ever see this film.
