The 2.35:1 Anamorphic transfer is sharp and detailed with colours looking bright and natural. Skin tones are accurate and the entire image has copious amounts of detail on show. Compression artefacts were not present or seen, although there was the odd example of edge enhancement seen here and there, but certainly not enough to affect the overall crispness of the image. A full Screen version of the movie is also present on the disc, but why would we look at that?

The sound mix presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 is not that far from demo quality. There are no aggressive action moments of any note, but the enveloping feel presented by the soundtrack is highly effective and creates just the right feel as things get more intense. Dialogue sounds crisp and natural and is never drowned out by whatever else maybe going on. The stand out moment for me is Sutherlands voice which is rich and threatening and is free from the sounds of New York city in the background.

The extras let down what up until now was an excellent presentation from Fox. All we get here are a Director's Commentary and Trailers. Although interesting and engaging the commentary also gets rather technical which may put many off listening to the entire track, and the trailers are for Garage Days and Phone Booth. And that's your lot.
    Phone Booth Extras

An extremely tense and fast paced thriller with good performances and excellent image and sound, just a pity the extras are so light.
