Smart TV and other SpecsPanasonic has introduced Firefox OS to the majority of its UHD TVs in 2015 and that includes the TX-65CX700B. With an easy to use graphical interface, open source for developer ease and what the company describe as intuitive usability, the new My Home Screen 2.0 looks as good as it ever has.
According to Panasonic content in the platform is divided into easily navigable ‘decks’. There are three default decks – the Live TV deck, the Apps deck and the Devices deck - and you can also personalise your home screen by pinning your favourite content and apps to it. The platform also includes a new search tool, allowing you to easily locate content from a variety of video services, websites and any external devices you may have connected to your TV.
Added to the decks is a new search tool via my Home Screen 2.0 that allows you to find and access content from all available source options, including internet video services, websites and any external devices you may have connected to your TV. When you’ve found what you’re looking for, you can bookmark your favourite channels, apps, web pages and connected devices by using the Pin function for quick access at a later date.
Freeview PlayFinally we have the new Freeview Play service which launches exclusively on the 2015 line-up in the UK. Freeview Play offers all the major catch-up TV players such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5. This Play service combines all the catch-up services along with on-demand and live TV to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want.
