Panasonic GZ2000 (TX-65GZ2000B) 4K OLED Preview
The best of both worlds
The Panasonic TX-65GZ2000B is the company's newest flagship Professional Edition 4K OLED TV, and uses a new customised OLED panel. This bespoke panel has been developed by Panasonic's engineers with an increased average brightness level and better contrast handling.
The 65GZ2000B boasts the manufacturer's new HCX Pro Intelligent advanced processor. In addition, picture quality has been optimised by a leading Hollywood colourist, ensure that the TV produces a highly accurate image that meets all the industry standards.
The GZ2000 includes High Dynamic Range (HDR) and is also the first TV in the world to support both dynamic metadata formats: HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It can also handle Hybrid Log-Gamma and HLG Photo, with the latter being a new still image format for HDR photography.
The Panasonic GZ2000 is also the world’s first TV to include built-in upward-firing speakers that are able to decode and deliver Dolby Atmos immersive audio with the minimum of fuss. The complete audio system features Technics' proprietary JENO Engine and has also been tuned by its engineers.
Panasonic has responded to requests from Hollywood’s professional users and extended the range and reduced the interval between calibration steps at the darkest end of the RGB and gamma scales. The GZ2000B also supports CalMAN PatternGen test patterns along with its AutoCal functionality.
The 65GZ2000 features the latest iteration of Panasonic’s My Home Screen 4.0, with a tailored TV user interface that offers more freedom and flexibility. There's a redesigned GUI and support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing effective operation via voice control.
Panasonic has yet to announce pricing and availability.
