What is the Hisense 65K720?The K720 range uses all the same technologies of the K700 series but they have curved, rather than flat, panels. The curve attracts around a £100 premium, at retail, however meaning this will set you back around £1,800 on the www. For that stack of cash you do get a lot of mod-cons, however, with the 65-inch K720 blessed with cutting edge connectivity and features.
This is a preview of the upcoming 65K720 model and will be replaced with the full in-depth review as soon as we have measured and reviewed the final retail sample. In the meantime here is a run down of the features we can expect to see.
K720 Picture Quality FeaturesThe Ultra HD panel in the K720 gives 4X more resolution than a Full HD TV and it also incorporates 3D and local dimming technologies. To keep you up-to-the-minute, there's HEVC decoding capability, too, in addition to HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 compliance. The 65K720 also boasts a wider colour gamut than standard TVs although just how wide we'll have to find out.
Smart TV and Other SpecsThe Hisense 65K720 has a Freeview HD capable tuner and a strong line-up of video streaming apps, including BBC iPlayer. There are also 4K services from YouTube and Netflix with Amazon due to join them before the end of November 2015. This Hisense also has a built-in media player with support for a very wide selection of file types.
