What is the Hisense 55K321?This 55-inch Ultra HD 4K TV has a flat screen and, at the time of publishing, is widely available for around £700 so it can be considered entry level in this resolution class. As well as the UHD resolution, you also get a quad core processor and a range of Smart TV features built-in to its silver-trimmed chassis.
This is a preview of the upcoming 55K321 model and will be replaced with the full in-depth review as soon as we have measured and reviewed the final retail sample. In the meantime here is a run down of the features we can expect to see.
K321 Picture Quality FeaturesThe 3840 x 2160 resolution of the the 55K321 gives it four times the detail of Full HD 1080p. Unlike some of Hisense's TVs up the range, it doesn't offer a wider colour gamut so it's not as future-proofed but there are HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 compliant ports so you'll be able to hook up the likes of 4K Blu-ray players and it's also capable of HEVC decoding. It should also be noted that the K321 doesn't deliver 3D images and, again, you'll need to look further up the range for that capability.
Smart TV and Other SpecsThe Hisense 55K321 receives Freeview HD broadcasts and is capable of recording programmes to connected USB storage. There are built-in streaming apps including BBC iPlayer plus some that will bring you Ultra HD content, including YouTube. Netflix and Amazon.
The Hisense K321 also has a built-in media player with support for a wide range of formats, including JPG and MPO photos, FLAC, , MP3, OGG, and WMA audio files plus AVI, MP4, MOV, MKV, MPG, MPEG, VOB, RM, OGM and FLV video files.
